Xi'an Ikea Gathering

The Xi'an (IKEA) Gathering Shopping Centre project is the largest wholly foreign-owned commercial project in Shaanxi Province, the fifth in China and the first Gathering Shopping Centre in the west. With a construction area of about 320,000 square metres, the project is divided into two underground floors and three above ground floors, including the shopping mall and IKEA. Upon completion of the project, it will become a landmark building in the south of Xi'an city that combines East and West cultures, traditions and modernity, and ecology and the city, and is a large-scale commercial complex that combines shopping, home furnishings, catering, entertainment, recreation, and children's education.

With 3,000+ parking spaces and 770+ new energy charging spaces, IKEA Xi'an has become the shopping mall with the most charging spaces in Xi'an. The owner always advocates a healthy, green and ecological shopping environment from the customer's point of view.

The owner has very strict requirements on the garage flooring materials for this project. The flooring programme is based on spraying hardener directly on the original concrete floor. In the pre-sampling session, the selected flooring material suppliers were required to carry out penetration tests of the curing agent material, which took 2 months. The final test results showed that the lithium-based curing agent of Schaibe reacted completely, with high gloss and excellent effect. The owner used LithSeal SC lithium-based curing agent for construction.


Difficulty of the construction:

1. Short construction time was reserved for the construction of 100,000 square metres of flooring within one month, which is almost impossible in other projects. 2, the original surface of the grass-roots level is poorly treated, mottled, broken surface layer, flatness is not enough, can not directly spray curing agent. 3、Construction environment is poor, the construction of the patio is not sealed, the mall rain leakage, resulting in done garage was soaked.
